Giving Up

Enough of the dump. These little guys and ballerinas are hanging in Lille Boutique for the rest of the month. Many thanks to Sarah and Courtney for the help, for the lovely space, for the nice evening, and for the seemingly bottomless flute of Cava. And thanks, too, to those who came, the few, the generous, the indefatigable.

Better Not Tell You Now

The Craft on Netflix Play It Now kept me company awhile whilst drawing this one. Nostalgia, it reminded me how cool I thought those girls were (still think), the memory of wishing my friends would--just once--take the Ouija board as seriously as I wanted them to. I must have rented that film more than any other from Mr. Movies as tween/teen.

Art Opening/Pillow Fight.

Having a little art opening in the new year and am worried there will be approximately six people in attendance. If looking at angsty ballerinas and despondent cats isn't enough for you to leave the house (let's face it), maybe you will be hungry? Or thirsty? Well, there will be snacks! And drinks! For free! And the prettiest lingerie to look at, which costs money but is worth it. And maybe some girls that look like the above having pillow fights. You never know.

To divulge a little: For semi-proper anatomy, I take pictures of my body in various positions with Photo Booth to use as reference, which I feel a bit weird about. I think it is most obvious here, the double crossing of the legs, the covering of the face with hands.
