Working on my first commissioned piece, ahem. It's going to be a portrait of some newlyweds who probably make whoopee in strange places all the time. (ssshhh, Jessica. Don't tell anyone you're the person who commissioned this because I don't think it counts if it's a friend. And I'm sorry I just talked about your friends like that. You can blame Bob Eubanks.) This is not the finished piece. It is just a sketch. But sometimes I like things that are terribly unfinished, just ideas being worked out.Did anyone else go through a Game Show Network phase? I did in my early teen years when I'd have sleepovers at my Aunt Susan's house. Her family had a lot more television channels than our family, including Game Show Network, so she and I would watch game shows for hours. Then we would play board game versions of game shows, like Password. Even now, when I go home to Michigan, I still spend one night at her house. We talk, she makes me feel better about making decisions with my heart rather than my head, we watch movies, we eat things, we stay up late. Sometimes we still watch game shows and want the contestants to win so badly.
